Welcome to IVRSTAR Foundation !
IVRSTAR is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing inclusive learning for students with learning differences using Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR).
In collaboration with UC San Diego’s Institute for Neural Computation, IVRSTAR Foundation is launching a study titled “Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR) Effectiveness for Neurodivergent/Dyslexic Learning.” This study aims to explore how IVR can support and enhance learning for neurodivergent/dyslexic students.
We’re honored to be working with Dr. Ying Wu, Assistant Research Scientist at UCSD’s Swartz Center for Computational Neuroscience. Dr. Wu is a leading expert in real-world cognition, creativity, and immersive technologies. Her work bridges neuroscience, education, and art — and she brings deep experience in multi-modal data analysis, including EEG, eye tracking, and movement studies. Her lab will support data collection and analysis through UCSD’s Mobile Brain-Body Imaging (MoBI) platform.
Study findings will be shared in top journals and conferences to advance new insights and effective strategies for inclusive education.
Make an impact on the lives of neurodivergent/dyslexic learners. Every contribution brings us closer to creating a more inclusive educational future!
About us - IVRSTAR develops IVR multi-sensory special education content to keep students focused, engaged, and enable greater retention. We collaborate with subject matter experts, special education educators/teachers and their students, sponsors, universities, organizations, and administrators to deliver learning content designed for Dyslexia Learning Differences.
The Orton-Gillingham approach (used for special education) incorporates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic strategies and aids to help individuals with dyslexia internalize and understand what they are learning. Immersive multi-sensory learning with IVR gaming is a perfect fit!
Our Mission is to improve the outcomes of Students learning topics using a more effective IVR teaching tool.
Our goal is to scale our IVR learning modules Nationally to benefit all dyslexic learners.
